The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service position created for intervention encounters a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In sassa this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to help the servicing of all clients click here and enhance usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
